Repeat Ukraine! Trump forces South African president to watch 'genocide' video

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa traveled to the White House to meet President Donald Trump, hoping to repair relations that have deteriorated since Trump took office for a second term. Since January 2025, Trump has ordered the United States to cut aid for AIDS, expelled South African Ambassador Ibrahim Rasoul, and granted refugee status to 59 Afrikaners, claiming that they were "oppressed" in South Africa.

Trump also condemned land seizure laws, which allow states to seize land without compensation in some cases to correct inequalities from the apartheid era, which ended in 1994, and South Africa's case against Israel alleging genocide at the International Court of Justice.
